January

January now is here,
A fresh new start for a whole new year.
The snow comes down in the dark of night.
When we awake the world is white.
In January when there's snow,
We get our sleds and away we go!

RESOLUTIONS

In this new year
I'll be so good.
I'll do the things
I know I should.
I'll wash my hands
And comb my hair
And never tip back in my chair.
I'll be so kind to my little brother
And help my sister, father, and my mother.
In this new year
Will you be good
And do the things
You know you should?

January
Now is here

Activities:

1. Define the word resolution. The dictionary says that it means a course of action determined or decided upon. For New Year's, it means setting goals.  Have students brainstorm different New Years' resolutions.
